OVERVIEW
We’re looking for passionate Local Food Tour Guides to bring Coastal Mississippi to life through food, storytelling, and Southern hospitality. You’ll lead small walking groups through downtown areas, sharing local history, hidden gems, and the flavors that make the Gulf Coast special. Group sizes will range from 2 to 16 guests, including families with children. Tours are designed to take place during low-crowd times for a relaxed and enjoyable experience.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
— Lead engaging walking tours (1–1.5 miles) that showcase the best of Coastal Mississippi’s food and culture.
— Share stories with humor and heart, weaving in local history, traditions, and personal touches.
— Create connection, making every guest feel seen, appreciated, and part of the experience.
— Coordinate with restaurant partners to confirm group size, dietary needs, and arrival times.
— Keep tours on schedule while remaining flexible and attentive to the group’s needs.
— Adapt quickly to the unexpected, whether it’s a weather change, a last-minute request, or a closed stop.
— Communicate clearly with guests before and after each tour (reminders, meeting points, follow-ups).
— Represent Savor the Coast with professionalism, warmth, and generosity in every interaction.
— Encourage reviews and social media sharing, helping promote local partners and grow community support.

— Physically able to walk up to 3 miles at a comfortable pace and stand for extended periods.
— Very familiar with Coastal Mississippi, ideally a long-time resident or native.
— Flexible and open-minded, ready to grow with a new and evolving venture.

COMPENSATION
$60 per 3-hour tour plus gratuity
